Yamaha RX100 and 135 had 2-Stroke engines. The power to weight ratio offered by two stroke engines were unmatched, they had less components, more rugged and sounded sweet. 

Two Strokes didn’t had a dedicated lubrication system and hence engil oil was mixed with petrol. This made them less environment friendly with unburnt hydrocarbons. The 2T oil was also costly as they should be burnable.

Due to their exhaust port design some of the fresh charge of fuel was scavenged through exhaust. Though it was possible to reduce the scavenging, the emission levels were difficult to meet. Some also have come up with conspiracies to push 4 strokes such as 2 Strokes were causing accidents more often than others and created a negative image. 

All these collectively forced manufacturers to stop two stroke engines.

Yamaha and KTM still manufacture 2 stroke bikes. They need the high torque engine for dirt bikes which uses liquid cooling and fuel injection. These bikes are very expensive starting from 4.25 Lakhs upwards.
